ABOUT US

Ohio Randonneurs' goal, besides having fun, is to provide riders with the opportunity to complete ultra distance events and prepare for 1200k events. Completing a series of brevets (200k, 300k, 400k and 600k) qualifies a rider for Paris-Brest-Paris (PBP), Boston-Montreal-Boston (BMB), Gold Rush Randonée in California, Colorado Last Chance Randonée, Washington Cascade 1200k Randonée, the inaugural Shenandoah 1200K, or other Randonneur Mondiaux randonnées.  Our brevet events are sanctioned by L'Audax Club Parisien through Randonneurs USA.

The terrain for the Ohio Randonneurs brevets is rolling-to-hilly with many short, but steep, hills.  Routes for 2008 will be challenging but not as hilly as 2007.  Typically, our routes average 7600 to 8400 feet per 200k as calculated on available topographic routing programs.  This year we are also offering a flèche, a 24-hour team event held April 10-12, 2008, in addition to the Super Randonneur brevet series and a 1000k that will tour of southern Ohio, starting August 30, 2008.  We hope you come ride with us!
