The Ohio Randonnneurs Flèche will take place the weekend of April 12, 2008.  You can get a copy of all the rules at http://www.rusa.org/teamrando.html  .  Pay particular attention to the schedule preceding the event.  All Flèche team proposals must be in the organizers hands by the dates indicated.   There is a charge of $10 per rider to help defray expenses.  The recommended target (ride end) is Nelson Park next to Alum Creek on the near east side of Columbus Ohio. A team may start its ride at any time after noon on Thursday April 10.  However, we strongly suggest that teams begin their rides between 5 and 6 PM on Friday April 11.  On Saturday at 6 PM we will hold an open house and pizza buffet for teams which have arrived by then.  Showers will be available at the open house.  Note that this start and end time will permit night riding when the riders are freshest and most alert.  It also avoids riding after dark on Saturday night, lessening the likelihood of traffic incidents.

If your mapping software doesn’t show a clear route to Nelson Park (it can be reached by the Alum Creek Trail), submit your route proposal to the organizer showing an end on the east side of Columbus.  We will route you to the finish.
